Review of Kotkasim Village:
“Kotkasim in Alwar is our village in Rajasthan, about 100 km from Delhi. It is close to Bahawal industrial area.
We have plenty of farming for crops like gehu, sarso (wheat, mustard). Earlier we could grow moongfali, makka, shakarkandi, chana (groundnuts, maize, sweet potato, grams) too
However, due to urea, the soil has changed! Chana doesn’t need a lot of water or irrigation to grow.”“Kotkasim gets 24 hrs electricity. We have Good schools – many of them private also.
Earlier Kotkasim was a kasba, then village, and now a tehsil.
We are actually closer to Haryana border. About 22 km from Bhiwadi, so Rewari bazaar is closer. Sabi river flows close by and fills up in rainy season.”
