Review of Andheri:
“Andheri boasts of a very good quality of life without having to pay hefty amount like Bandra or Santra Cruz. Roads are safe but can be cleaner, there are many open street markets encroaching the Andheri Kurla Road, thus resulting in huge chaos, jam and litter.“

Review of Andheri by Andrie:
“Andheri can be closely called the heart of Mumbai, geographically and technically as after Dadar it becomes a major connectivity channel while having the select metro line. Andheri boasts of a very good quality of life without having to pay hefty amount like Bandra or Santra Cruz. It is devoid of sky scrapers, precisely because it is home to the Chhatrapati Shivaji International and Domestic Airport, which means you do not need to travel another 2 hours to reach the airport, saving your journey time.
Staying at Andheri keeps you at a reasonable distance from the rest of the city, be it Airoli in Navi Mumbai or Colaba in South Bombay. Markets are good, not many malls but decent ones, however you will not be very far from Palladium in Parel, R City Ghatkopar or Infinity in Malad, or for that matter Oberoi Goregaon. Good amount of housing societies have amenities like pool, gym, park or at least access to them.
Having said that, I must mention about the cleanliness factor. The Swacch Bharat Abhiyan might not have been able to deliver qualitatively in this suburb of Mumbai. Roads are safe but can be cleaner, there are many open street markets encroaching the Andheri Kurla Road, thus resulting in huge chaos, jam and litter.
With other metro lines coming up, and majorly passing through Andheri, has put this locality under significant stress with respect to major parts of the roads being occupied with construction work and dust resulting in acute pollution, and heavy traffic jams, making your stay difficult. Early morning runs/walk for clean air, are also ineffective as the previous night the construction was on which resulted in debris collection on the sides of the roads and high PPM value for pollutants.
(on a subjective basis) I rate this locality as 3 on 5 for the temporary challenges it is gripped with presently.”
If you stay in Andheri, try using the VIA 70 App to request action on municipal services for Ward 70. You can raise a complain about condition of roads, garbage disposal, maintenance issues, etc. This is the Download link at Google Playstore.
