How to Reach Elephantine
“The only possible way to reach this island village is to catch a ferry from Aswan city. The ferry ride lasts about 5 to 7 minutes and they are available every 10-15 minutes from the ferry terminal. They operate from morning 8 to evening 9 “

Vaishali’s Review of Elephantine
“This artsy Nubian (desert) village sits neatly on an island on the Nile and marks the border between Egypt and Nubia. It is home to numerous archaeological sites and the famous ‘tombs of nobles’ hill is located very close to it.
The green farms of Elephantine offer a fresh break from Egypt’s golden sand landscape. While the locals are cordial and helpful, the rural life at elephantine is unperturbed by the tourist inflow hence anyone looking for ‘luxury’ will be left in dissatisfaction.
All in all a perfect retreat from urban and city life.“
