Agharta Jazz Centrum, Prague – 80.0%

“Imagine going down several steps, to a 14th century stone basement with dim, but just the right amount of light, snug tables, local Czech beer, a stage and a live performance in front! Watch this video with trumpets, drums and saxophones that make jazz – perfect acoustics to fill the entire space with magic.”

Review:
I’d heard that Prague was famous for its jazz, and a quest for finding the best place for taking in some led my travel friend and I to this delight called The Agharta Jazz Centrum. Nestled in one of the intriguing alleys around Old Town Square, Prague, Agharta isn’t just about the music, it’s about the overall experience of the place.
Imagine going down several steps, to a 14th century stone basement with dim, but just the right amount of light, snug tables and seats, a stage,a live performance, and local Czech beer or whatever else you chose to have.
Now imagine that with trumpets, drums, and saxophones that make jazz, and perfect acoustics to fill the entire space with magic. It was an absolute delight! The best part about it all was that it wasn’t crowded, but cozy, and one could talk to the artists or people around during the break.
Agharta Jazz Centrum also hosts a jazz music festival and other jazz events – check out their website for more. I wished I could have stayed there forever, and I definitely recommend it as a Prague must do!
in Prague everything can be easily reached by public transportation and the city center is car traffic free, parking available for residents only (thats about the infrastructure :-))
Indeed this is a quality of most European cities! Nice blog you got there Katy! 🙂
