Review of Audrey House by Nandini:
“Audrey House is a eulogized heritage possession to the city of Ranchi as well as the entire state. Glorifying the days when it was the Summer capital of Bihar during the British Raj, this 160 year old building has been reincarnated few years back in 2016 as a Government Office and Exhibition Space and is part of the Raj Bhavan complex.
I have lived in this city for my entire life but it was only when I was 19 years old that is little marvel was opened to public.
Elegant and tranquil is what comes to one’s mind when you visit this place. Dominated by wood and bricks this place is adored in all aspects. I had a special attachment to this place since I had attended a photography workshop which was organised at Audrey House for 10 days.
Be it sunshine or a rainy day, this place turns out to be picture perfect inside as well as outside. Poppy and orchid plantations during spring adds to its beauty. The wide corridors and ramps also adds in the category of barrier free design. Audrey House also plays host to various government organised festivals and fairs.”
