India needs 1,60,000 construction managers by 2035

By 2035, India is set to need an additional 160,000 construction project managers, marking a striking increase of sixty-seven percent from current levels. Dharavi redevelopment to preserve livelihoods

The redevelopment of Dharavi, Asia’s largest slum in the heart of Mumbai, is “not a blank canvas”. It aims to account for its existing homes, workshops, markets and community networks, according to Pranav Adani, director, Adani Enterprises. Adani Group will develop connected districts around the Mumbai and Navi Mumbai airports, with a mix of business, hospitality, retail, entertainment and public spaces.

Tata Solaroof crosses 5 lakh rooftop installations

Tata Power Solaroof has successfully reached a remarkable milestone of over five lakh rooftop solar installations across India. With more than Rs 8,500 crore provided in solar financing, the company holds a significant fourteen percent market share. Looking ahead, Tata Power Solaroof aims to achieve an ambitious target of thirty lakh installations by 2029, bolstered by their extensive network that connects both consumers and businesses to sustainable solar solutions.

Siemens Blue high-voltage technology for India

Siemens Energy India has commissioned its first 145 kV sulfur hexafluoride-free circuit breaker in Goa, introducing its Blue high-voltage technology to India. The equipment uses clean air insulation and vacuum switching, eliminating SF₆ and other fluorinated greenhouse gases while supporting reliable transmission infrastructure and the power sector’s decarbonisation efforts.

Aid to spur battery parts output

India’s new plan aims to reduce reliance on Chinese producers and boost local manufacturing. The government sees fostering a domestic battery supply chain as a strategic priority. Existing incentives for cell manufacturing have faced delays due to supply chain issues. India is nearing the rollout of a fresh incentive program for advanced battery cell component makers worth up to Rs 13,000 crore ($1.37 billion). The proposed incentives cover five key battery components: anode and cathode active materials, electrolytes, separator film and copper foil, the people said.
