“This zone is the erstwhile ‘Nariman Point’ of Mumbai, one of the first ever planned office districts in a major Indian city. The old world charm is rather endearing!”

Review of Ballard Estate:

“Used to visit this area during on-boarding for a major construction company. Ballard Estate becomes literally deserted after 6 pm. Unlike the rest of Fort, even the handful of restaurants close down after working hours!

The buildings have a colonial architecture, and a lot of them have undergone renovation from both inside and outside.

Ballard Estate is well-connected to both Church Gate and CST. The tree-lined roads have a soothing appearance on the whole. The area has several offices Govt. offices (including RBI) and banks. A famous eatery housed in Ballard Estate is Britannia and Co.

Ballard Estate is the erstwhile ‘Nariman Point’ of Mumbai, one of the first ever planned office districts in a major Indian city. The old world charm is rather endearing!”
