Review of Aruvikkara Village:

“Aruvikkara is a small yet very progressive village.

The village community is one that is very keen on improving the quality of life of its residents and has embraced community-driven initiatives such as Baal-sabha (for tutoring young children), Skill training of differently abled persons, Public Village Library, Digitized Public Distribution Susyem etc.

The Aruvikkara village community sustains itself through a system of Neighbourhood Self-help groups (NHGs).

The village Panchayat is fixed with Geo-informatic systems and ensures equal representation to both men and women in the panchayat administrative body.

It is also guided by Kudumbashree to help them adopt poverty alleviation programs such as Ashraya – that is aimed at identification and rehabilitation of the destitute.
